Welcome to the Greenwood Guitar Society Website

The Greenwood Classical Guitar Society, now in its nnth year is based in Hampton Hill, South West London. The society aims to encourage and develop classical guitar ensemble playing with fortnightly sessions, performances and organised events. We welcome new members.

The society was founded by Martin Shaw in 1994 is now run jointly by its members. While there is an emphasis on classical guitar ensemble we also explore contemporary acoustic guitar styles and compositions with other instruments especially flute and recorder.

Greenwood in the Park

During the easing of lockdown restrictions in 2021 two or three of us would meet up on the riverside green at Burnell Avenue, Richmond to play and practise.
